Dave Esau resigned as associate pastor at Cedar Park MB Church in Ladner, B.C. effective July 30, 1995 after three years of ministry. He is starting as associate pastor at Sherbrooke Mennonite Church in Vancouver effective May 1, 1996. He has a B.R.S. from Mennonite Brethren Bible College in Winnipeg and an M.Div. from Regent College in Vancouver. He and his wife, Elaine, have three children, Jessica, 3, Nathan 1, and Ryan, 4 months.

Terry Black became associate pastor at Gateway Community Church in Lower Sackville, N.S. effective Jan. 15. He had been involved at the church since shortly after it began in 1992. He has previously pastored in two Halifax-area churches, and most recently has been active in prison ministry. He has an M.Div from Acadia University in Wolfville, N.S.

Dave Hubert ended his assignment with MCC Canada's Employment Development program in November, 1995. He began in 1986 to help start job creation programs for people such as single parents, people with disabilities, Aboriginal people, ex-offenders, newcomers and other employment-disadvantaged groups. The position has since been eliminated due to a downsizing of MCC's domestic programs.

Bill McLeod, of Canadian Revival Fellowship, led a series of revival meetings at Salem MB Church in Winnipeg Nov. 24-26. McLeod had also led a 9-week revival crusade in 1971-72 in Winnipeg.

Harry and Judy Strauss, pastor couple at Parliament Community Church in Regina went on a ministry trip to Lithuania and Palanga on the Baltic Sea, Austria and southern Germany. They spoke at an MBM/S worker's retreat Jan. 3-6, returning Jan. 15.

Peter Rempel of Winnipeg, was appointed as the executive secretary of the Council of International Ministries at its January meeting in Newton, KS. CIM consists of Mennonite and Brethren in Christ administrators who represent various overseas mission agencies. Rempel serves as personnel secretary, Africa liaison and secretary for Europe and the former Soviet Union for the Commission on Overseas Mission of the General Conference Mennonite Church.

Forty-two workers participated in orientation at Mennonite Central Committee headquarters in Akron, PA, Jan. 10-19. Seventeen are beginning overseas assignments, 15 North American assignments, 3 service internships and 7 short-term assignments with SELFHELP Crafts of the World.Ernie Waldner of Winnipeg began a two-year MCC assignment in October in Winnipeg where he works as manager of computer services. He has a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Manitoba. He is affiliated with The Meeting Place. Bill and Betty Peters of Penticton, B.C. are beginning two-year assignments in Siberia, Russia. They will be serving as community development workers. They previously served with MCC in Algeria. They are members of Grace MB Church in Penticton. Their children are Carrie, John, Joanne, and Rosalind. Liz Froese of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., is beginning a three-year MCC assignment in Port au Prince, Haiti where she will serve as a community development worker. She has a master's degree in social work from the University of Toronto. She last worked as a family worker for the Niagara Child Development Centre in Welland, Ont. She is a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Virgil, Ont., and is affiliated with Metropolitan Bible Church in Ottawa.
