Henry Wiebe, with his wife Helen, has been appointed interim pastor at
Vineland Community Church effective Dec. 1. Having grown up in the area, he has planted
several churches in Ontario including St. Anne's Community Church and Niagara Falls Christian
Fellowship. He has also served as part-time director of church planting for the Ontario MB
Conference.
Steve Weir has become associate pastor of Grantham MB Church in St. Catharines, Ont. effective
Dec. 15. His ministry focusses on youth and preaching. He previously served for two years as
associate pastor of Kilcona Park Alliance Church in Winnipeg, and for two years as pastor of a
Baptist church in Regina. He has an M.Div. from Canadian Theological Seminary in Regina and a
B.R.E. from Ontario Bible College in Toronto. He and his wife, Sharon have two
children, Charissa, 5 and Christopher, 3.
Abe Konrad and Abe Quiring have been appointed to the conference ministry
team in the Alberta MB Conference. Konrad represents northern Alberta; Quiring represents
central Alberta. A third representative for the southern area has not yet been appointed. Individual
Board of Faith and Life members will serve in that role until a representative is appointed.
Cornie Riediger resigned as administrator for the Manitoba MB Conference and was
recognized at the Manitoba convention for his nine-year service. The position has been filled by
George Martens of Winnipeg, a member of Portage Avenue MB Church.
