Reg Toews has resigned as senior pastor of Chilliwack Central MB Church in Chilliwack, B.C., effective June 30, after serving for two years. He previously served for two years as youth pastor at Kindersley (Sask.) Alliance Church and for six-and-a-half years as pastor of Main Centre (Sask.) MB Church before coming to Chilliwack Central as an associate pastor in 1992. He has a B.R.E. from Briercrest Bible College and is working on an M.Div. degree from MB Biblical Seminary (through the B.C. Centre). He and his wife Brenda have three children, Ren<142>e, 10, Vanessa, 8, and David, 3.

Jerry Pauls resigned as youth pastor at Chilliwack Central MB Church in Chilliwack, B.C., effective March 31, after serving since August, 1993. He has a B.Th. from Okanagan Bible College and an M.Div. from MB Biblical Seminary and previously served pastoral internships at Northview Community Church in Abbotsford, B.C. and Kelowna (B.C.) Alliance Church. He and his wife Kelly have two children, Taylor, who is almost 2, and Megan, 6 months. Their future plans are uncertain.

Ed Balzer, associate pastor at South Abbotsford MB Church in Abbotsford, B.C., suffered a heart attack on March 18. He spent a week in hospital and is now recovering well at home.

Rick McCorkindale has resigned as senior pastor of Dalmeny (Sask.) Community Church, effective Aug. 31, after serving for seven years. He has a B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University and an M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary. He then served for three years as pastor of Faith Missionary Church in Kitchener, Ont. and for three years as associate pastor of Port Rowan (Ont.) MB Church. He and his wife Sylvia have three children, Nathan, 12, Karis, 10, and Joshua, 3.

Allan Rempel became full-time youth pastor at Sardis (B.C.) Community Church on March 1. He had been a youth sponsor at the church since 1988 and became part-time youth pastor in August, 1995. He has studied for one year at Briercrest Bible College and four years at Simon Fraser University. For the past five years, he has worked for the Upper Fraser Valley Society for Mentally Handicapped People, for the last two years he and his wife Heather serving as live-in caregivers. Heather is a graduate of Columbia Bible College. The Rempels have one son, Noah, 6 months.

Jeff and Mary Beth Gendron began serving a one-year part-time pastoral internship at West Clearbrook Community Church in Abbotsford, B.C. on Jan. 1. Jeff is a third-year student at Columbia Bible College. The Gendrons have three children, Patricia, 6, Stephanie, 3, and Joel, 1.

John Wiens, associate pastor at Willingdon Church in Burnaby, B.C., will be on sabbatical from September to December. He plans to spend the semester studying at MB Biblical Seminary in Fresno, CA.
