Tim Unruh has been serving as part-time interim pastor of Whistler (B.C.) Community Church since last December and on July 15 became full-time senior pastor. He earned a B.A. from Columbia International University in South Carolina and an M.A. from MB Biblical Seminary. He then served on the pastoral staff at Willingdon Church in Burnaby, B.C. for 10 years, working with college and career. When he left Willingdon in the summer of 1996, he was granted a sabbatical and has been studying at Regent College in Vancouver.

Gerry Chaddick has resigned as pastor of worship and music at Central Heights MB Church in Abbotsford, B.C., effective mid-September, after serving for five years. He has a B.A. in music and psychology from California Baptist College and an M.Mus. from Azusa Pacific University. He has previously served as worship minister at First Southern Baptist Church in Beaumont, Calif. for four years and at Rose Drive Baptist Church in Yorba Linda, Calif. for 10 years. His wife Debby has a B.A. in psychology from California Baptist College. They have two sons, Ryan, 12, and Kyle, 9. The Chaddicks are moving to Lancaster, Calif., where Gerry will become pastor of worship and music at Central Christian Church.

Patrick Fung became associate pastor at Pacific Grace Chinese Church (South Side) in Vancouver on Aug. 12. He and his wife Leona were registered nurses in Hong Kong. Then Patrick earned a B.Th. from China Bible Seminary and pastored a Nazarene Church in Hong Kong for five-and-a-half years. The Fungs next came to Canada, where Patrick earned an M.A. from Prairie Graduate School in Three Hills, Alta. and then pastored an Alliance Chinese church in Lethbridge, Alta. for four years. The Fungs have two sons, Gideon, 16, and Gabriel, 12.

Lisa Bremner began serving in June as half-time children's ministry coordinator at Fraserview MB Church in Richmond, B.C. She has studied at the Capernwray Bible school on Thetis Island in B.C. and has taken recreational facilities management training at Langara College in Vancouver. She was previously a member of Willingdon Church in Burnaby, B.C., where she was active as a volunteer in prison ministry and junior high. She worked for five years as retiree coordinator at B.C. Hydro. She and her husband Sean have a 4-month-old daughter, Cassidy.

Mark and Sylvia Jantzen, senior pastor couple at Crestwood MB Church in Medicine Hat, Alta. will travel to Japan Nov. 1-12, where Mark will speak in the MB churches in Nagoya and Toyota City. He will also speak at a retreat for Mennonite Brethren Missions/Services workers.

Doug Irwin resigned as associate pastor responsible for Christian education, youth and care group ministries at Eastview Community Church in Winnipeg, effective June 30, after two years of ministry. He has a B.Th. from London Baptist Bible College and an M.Div. from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. His prior ministry includes college and career work in North Park Community Church in London, Ont. and youth work in Calvary Baptist Church in Guelph, Ont. He is now associate pastor of adult ministries at Grant Memorial Baptist Church in Winnipeg.

Michael Dyck is the new youth pastor at Elmwood MB Church in Winnipeg, effective Sept. 1. He has a B.A. in youth leadership from Providence College in Otterburne, Man. and has attended a Capernwray school in Sweden. He worked as admissions counsellor at Providence College for the past two years. Previously, he worked at Camp Iawah in Ontario, as assistant program director at Camp Cedarwood in Manitoba and as a volunteer youth sponsor at Southdale Alliance Church in Winnipeg. His wife Deb is attending Providence Seminary in pursuit of an M.A. in biblical counselling.

Keith Poysti has completed his nine-month term as interim pastor at Steinbach (Man.) MB Church, effective July 31. He was previously pastor of Burrows Bethel Mennonite Church and associate pastor of River East MB Church, both in Winnipeg. His wife Heidi is staff development coordinator for Donwood Manor, a personal care home in Winnipeg. They are praying for guidance as to a future ministry. They have three children, Nathan, 17, Rachel, 15, and Sarah, 13.
