New Business Manager at Bethany

Hepburn, Sask.

Harvey Mathies, a native of Herbert, Sask., has been appointed as new business manager of Bethany Bible Institute, succeeding Randy Schellenberg. Prior to coming to Bethany, Mathies was employed at the Briercrest Schools. He began his duties at Bethany Feb. 19. Karon, Harvey's wife, grew up in Mali, West Africa, where her parents were missionaries. The Mathies' have three children. Sherene, the oldest, has completed her first year of nurses training. Sheldon graduated from Caronport High School. Kimberly, the youngest, is currently in grade eleven. The Mathies family has spent three years in Ivory Coast, West Africa. During these highlight years for the family, Harvey and Karon worked in a school for missionary children. Mathies says he feels confident that God has led them to Bethany, where he anticipates serving Him.
