Al and Heather Rempel was installed as pastor couple of youth and children's ministries at Sardis Community Church in Chilliwack, B.C. in June, 1996. He began full-time effective Apr. 1, and had worked part-time since August, 1995. Previously he served as volunteer youth sponsor at the church since 1988 and is a longtime member of the church. He attended one year at Briercrest Bible College, two years at Simon Fraser University and two years at University College of the Fraser Valley. They have a son, Noah, 1.
Ian Clark has resigned as youth pastor at Port Rowan (Ont.) MB Church effective Oct. 31. after two years of service. Previously, he has served three summers with World Outreach Fellowship in Peru and Bolivia. He has a B.R.E. from Emmanuel Bible College in Kitchener, Ont. and previously studied two-and-a-half years at Providence College in Otterburne, Man., earning a pilot's licence. He has worked a variety of jobs in Winnipeg and Ontario. His wife Charlene has studied at Kawartha Lake Bible College in Peterborough, Ont. They have served as youth sponsors in two Ontario churches. They are seeking God's leading for a future ministry.
Tim and Lorrie Orr were commissioned July 7 by Mountain Park Community Church. They are returning to Quito, Ecuador to serve with HCJB (Heralding Christ Jesus' Blessings), a radio broadcast centre whose compound encompasses a variety of ministries. Tim will serve as hospital administrator. They are pictured being prayed over, with pastor Herb Neufeld and evangelism elder Ross Johnston at left. Ken B. Dyck has resigned as senior pastor of Kennedy Heights MB Church in Delta, B.C., effective Sept. 30. He and his wife Bonnie have serve at Kennedy Heights for five years. Prior to coming to Kennedy Heights, they studied at Briercrest Bible College and served as intern/associate pastor couple for one year in Hepburn Sask. They have three children, Dallas, 10, Carly, 8 and Calin, 5.
Victor and Helen Stobbe begin service Sept. 1 as pastor couple of Hays (Alta.) Gospel Chapel. They most recently served for five years as pastor couple of Miocene (B.C.) Community Church. They have also pastored Hillside Community Church in Abbotsford, b.C. for five years, pastored an independent church in California for five years, pastored the former Mountainview MB Church in Mission, B.C. for eight years, served with Youth With a Mission for two years and pastored Full Gospel churches in Castlegar, B.C. and Chilliwack, B.C. for three years each. Vic is a graduate of MB Bible Institute (now Columbia Bible College) and Fresno Pacific College and has studied for two years at MB Biblical Seminary. The Stobbes have four children and 13 grandchildren.
Rick Janzen is serving as half-time associate pastor for children's ministries at South Abbotsford MB Church, B.C. from Aug. 1 to Dec. 31. He has studied music for a year at the University of Lethbridge and is currently a student at Columbia Bible College. He previously served as a three-quarter-time assistant to the music minister in South Abbotsford for two-and-a-half months and has served as chapel coordinator at Columbia Bible Camp. He has also been a partner in a computer consulting company.He and his wife Debbie have three children, Jonathan 4, Levi, 18 months, and Samuel, 7 months.
