Quebec youth enjoy summer camp

Camp Bruchesi, Quebec

This year, at Camp Bruchesi, 30 youth from our churches attended a summer camp organized by Sylvain Nantel. The youth aged 9 to 12 years old had a great time.

The youth were divided into five groups with three girls and two boys in each. There were many program activities. There was the climbing, archery and the rifle range, boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, bathing in the lake and the famous mudhole. Since there were only 30 in a camp so spacious, we shared with other non-Christian groups. Amidst these groups were mentally handicapped with whom our young people made friends. Some shared their faith with their companions and others sang hymns. The food was edible, but several among us were eager to return to home-cooking at the end of the week. The theme of the week was "Shipwrecked at sea" based on the story of Paul.

Sylvain and the six sponsors each gave the lessons of the day.

The most incredible thing was to see the youth taste God's love for those who need to hear it.
