John Neufeld has been hired as associate pastor at McIvor Ave. MB Church in Winnipeg, effective March 1, 1997. He is currently completing three years of service as director of recruitment at MB Biblical Seminary in Fresno, Calif. He has a B.A. from the University of Winnipeg and an M.Div. from MBBS. He and his wife Rose have two children, Levi, 2, and Jillian, 3 months.

Terry Goertzen became half-time associate pastor of youth and families at Jubilee Mennonite Church in Winnipeg, effective Jan. 1, 1997. He has a B.Th. from Okanagan Bible College and is pursuing an M.Div. from Winnipeg Theological Consortium (a consortium of Winnipeg colleges including Concord College; the degree is granted by the University of Winnipeg). Previously, he has served four years as associate pastor of youth at Cornerstone Church in Saskatoon. He and his wife SuAnn have a daughter Michal, 2.

Wally Kroeker has resigned as senior pastor of Boissevain (Man.) MB Church, effective June 30, 1997, after 15 years of ministry. Previously, he was director of Mennonite Central Committee B.C. 1975-80 and pastor of Vauxhall (Alta.) MB Church 1970-75; he farmed near Elm Creek, Man. prior to that. He attended Winkler Bible Institute, has a B. Th. from MB Bible College in Winnipeg and an M.A. in missions from MB Biblical Seminary. He and his wife Martha have eight children and eight grandchildren. They are open to the Lord's leading for their future.

Will Feldbusch resigned as pastor of Brooklands Community Church in Winnipeg, effective Dec. 3, 1996, after three years of service. He was previously pastor of Christian Fellowship Centre in Thompson, Man. for four years and pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Winnipeg for nine years. He has a degree from Winnipeg Bible College (now Providence College) and has studied at Providence Theological Seminary. He and his wife Carole have three grown children and one son, Mark, 14, at home. They are open to the Lord's leading for the future.

Barry Gammie has resigned as pastor of Regal Heights MB Church in Moose Jaw, Sask., effective Jan. 1 after six years of ministry. He has a bachelor's degree from Briercrest Bible College in Caronport, Sask. Previously he worked for Saskatchewan Telecommunications for 13 years. He and his wife Ruth have four grown children. They are seeking the Lord's direction for their future.

Alan Easton has resigned as pastor of Woodrow (Sask.) Gospel Chapel, effective Jan. 1, after one-and-a-half years of ministry. He has a B.A. from Briercrest Bible College in Caronport, Sask. He and his wife Charlotte have three children, Jordan, 6, Miah, 4, and Danae, 2. They are returning to Briercrest to pursue further studies.

Steve Weir has resigned as associate pastor of Grantham MB Church in St. Catharines, Ont., effective Jan. 15, after serving since December, 1995. He plans to move to Barrie, Ont. to begin a cell-based ministry. He has previously pastored an Alliance church in Winnipeg and a Baptist church in Regina. He has an M.Div. from Canadian Theological Seminary in Regina and a B.R.E. from Ontario Bible College in Toronto. He and his wife Sharon have two children, Charissa, 5, and Christopher, 3.

A commissioning service was held Nov. 24 at Killarney Park MB Church in Vancouver for three staff members. Gordon Stewart is serving on a volunteer basis as pastor emeritus, providing pastoral counselling and leadership development skills. Previously, he was involved in several years of pastoral work and leadership in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Kathleen Rochester is serving as part-time associate pastor of worship and women's ministries. She also serves as part-time associate pastor at Peace Mennonite Church in Richmond, B.C. while completing her studies at Regent College. Previously, she served as a pastor in her native Australia. Her husband, Stuart, also a Regent student, and two of their four children are with her in Canada. Colin Ashton has been hired as youth pastor. He is a graduate of Columbia Bible College. His wife Karen is currently completing her Early Childhood Education degree at Columbia.

LaGlace (Alta.) Bible Fellowship Church held an installation service Oct. 13 for pastor couple Nelson and Margaret Senft. Len Nation of the Peace River Bible Institute spoke on "Walking worthy of God's calling" from Ephesians 4:1-16. Northern Alberta MB Conference Minister Abe Konrad delivered a challenge to the congregation and the Senfts. Dave Schmidt offered a prayer of dedication. Nelson has an M. Div. from Trinity Western University and has served one year as apprentice pastor at Fraser Heights Community Church in Surrey, B.C. The Senfts have two children, Hannah, 2, and Benjamin, 6 months. Thirty workers participated in orientation at Mennonite Central Committee headquarters in Akron, Pa. Nov. 5-15. Seven are beginning overseas assignments, 21 North American assignments and two short-term assignments with Ten Thousand Villages. Among those participating were Raga Alphonsus of North York, Ont. He is beginning a one-year assignment in Toronto, as the Toronto, Ontario Opportunties for Learning and Service (TOOLS) coordinator. He has a diploma in peace and conflict studies from Conrad Grebel College in Waterloo, Ont. He was last employed as a district coordinator of the Relief and Rehabilitation Programme of Save the Children Fund in Mannar, Sri Lanka. He is affiliated with New Covenant Fellowship in Scarborough, Ont. He and his wife Niusia Zachanowicz have two children, Daniel and Ela. Carolyn and Dave Wagner of Edmonton are beginning three-year assignments in Bulembu, Swaziland. Carolyn will be working as a librarian and in community development and Dave as a secondary school teacher. Carolyn has a bachelor's degree in economics and Dave has a B.Ed. from the University of Alberta. Carolyn has been a homemaker; Dave last worked as a high school math teacher in Edmonton. They are members of Lendrum MB Church in Edmonton. Lawrence Smith and Suzanne Macdonald-Smith of Langley, B.C. are beginning two-year MCC assignments in St. John's, Newfoundland, where they will be working in community development and communications. Lawrence has a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Trinity Western University in Langley, B.C. and was last employed in public relations in Burnaby, B.C. Suzanne has a B.Ed. from the University of Windsor and last worked as a financial assistant in Langley. They are members of Panorama Community Church in Surrey, B.C. Jean-Victor Brosseau of St-Laurent, Que. is beginning a three-year assignment in St-Laurent, where he will work as a program coordinator. Brosseau has a master's degree in marriage and family counselling from MB Biblical Seminary in Fresno, Calif. Previously, he pastored Eglise Chretienne in St-Eustache, Que. He and his wife Annie have three children, Eve, Jeanne and Micael.
