Rock musician Rick Wakeman
, former keyboardist for the British supergroup YES, performed his modern oratorio on the life of Christ in southern California during Easter. Proceeds from the five concerts will benefit ASSIST ministries. The two-and-a-half hour work titled "The New Gospels" has already been performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England. About 5,000 people around the world "tuned in" to a live performance of "The New Gospels" via the Internet. Wakeman recently started the Christian record company Hope Records and Hope Vision. After debuting his lastest composition, Wakeman announced that he was leaving YES and would not be touring with the band.--

Sons of Reform party leader Preston Manning
, Nathan and David Manning are in a rock band known as The Buicks with their cousins known as J.P. Coroner and Clovis Coroner. They have been lining up gigs in Alberta clubs and getting airplay on local university stations. The Buicks have played at Christian and secular venues, winning positive reviews from both. David says all the band's songs contain Christian content. "Our musical talents are a gift from God, and in our generation we express them through rock music", says Nathan.--
