BBI graduates 49

Hepburn, Sask.

Three upbeat public services brought Bethany Bible Institute's 1996/97 school year to a close, Apr. 19-20. The school's 80-voice oratorio choir kicked the weekend off with a program of varied choral selections.

Saturday night's concert of praise highlighted the school's three ministry groups and concluded with public prayer for the now-completed ministry tours to Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.

Keith Walker, a professor at the University of Saskatchewan, gave the address at Sunday afternoon's commencement service. Eight students graduated with a three-year Bachelor of Christian Studies, 43 graduated with the two-year Diploma of Biblical Studies and one graduated with the Certificate of Biblical Studies. Among students receiving diplomas or degrees, two received special recognition. Treasa Enns of Medicine Hat received the Governor General's Collegiate Bronze Medal for highest academic standing for second-year students. Kevin Tieszen of Hepburn received the Pi Alpha Mu award which admits him to the honour society of the Association of Canadian Bible Colleges.
