Editorial Assistant moves on

WINNIPEG, MAN.

Kevin Heinrichs, editorial assistant at the Mennonite Brethren Herald, has resigned effective August 12. Heinrichs joined the Herald staff in March, 1995. He is a graduate of Bethany Bible Institute and also has a journalism degree from Carleton University in Ottawa. He and his wife Terri are active members of St. Boniface Evangelical Christian Church in Winnipeg.

Heinrichs has accepted a position as editor of Christian Lifestyles, a new periodical being launched in September for distribution in Manitoba. The new paper is published by Fellowship for Print Witness Inc., which also publishes ChristianWeek, a national evangelical newspaper based in Winnipeg.

The Herald editors express their gratitude to Kevin for his service at the Herald; we have appreciated his excellent writing skills, his creative thinking, his cooperative attitude and his devotion to Christ.

The Herald is seeking to hire an editorial assistant. In the meantime, the Herald is making a number of interim arrangements, including utilizing the gifts of Dora Dueck and Jon Unger Brandt on an interim part-time basis. Dueck is a gifted Winnipeg writer and a former editorial assistant with the Herald. Brandt is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg, and recently completed two years as Director of Development for Rosthern (Sask.) Junior College.
