General Conference task force appointed

FRESNO, CALIF.

A task force has been appointed to examine the needs and effectiveness of current General MB Conference structures. The creation of the five-member task force was approved at the General Conference convention held in Waterloo, Ont. last July. At the convention, delegates approved the striking of a task force to conduct a "no-holds-barred" review of Conference structures and ministries. The recommendation called for broad-based processing at all conference levels, with local churches and with existing ministries. Members of the task force are:

Pete Penner, agri-business, Reedley, Calif., chair;

Jascha Boge, business, Winnipeg, Man., Canadian MB Conference appointee;

Lyndon Vix, Wichita, Kan., US MB Conference appointee;

Gayle Goossen, writer, Kitchener, Ont., member-at-large;

John Wiebe, stewardship ministries, Abbotsford, B.C., member-at-large.

Valerie Rempel, Secretary, General MB Conference
