Editorial assistant appointed

WINNIPEG, MAN.

We are pleased to announce that Peter Woelk joined the staff of the Mennonite Brethren Herald as full-time editorial assistant at the beginning of January. He will be working in the Winnipeg office, where he will be doing such tasks as newswriting, typesetting and proofreading. He comes to us with a reputation as a good writer, a hard worker and a deeply committed Christian.

Woelk is a graduate of MB Collegiate Institute, Winkler Bible Institute and MB Bible College, and has also studied at the University of Winnipeg and the University of Saskatchewan. He and his family moved to Winnipeg in December from Saskatoon, where he was working as a shipper/receiver. Peter and his wife Teresa are members of West Portal MB Church, where Peter served as assistant moderator and as teacher of a youth Sunday school class. They have two children, Alex, 3, and Zoe, 1.

Woelk replaces Kevin Heinrichs, who resigned in August, after two years of service.
