Home Church: McIvor MB Church, Winnipeg

Ministry: I didn't do much with music in high school because I was not talented in the areas of music my school emphasized. After High School I began playing in worship teams and things began. I recorded simply because people encouraged me. The recordings have lead to more contacts and performances have opened up all kinds of musical options. Most of my time spent in music is in preparation for weddings, which come about once a month, and arranging music for small group ensembles. Music has and always will be a hobby. If one day it makes enough money that I don't need another job, bonus, but that is not the goal. Rather, my goal is to provide music for sheer enjoyment and nothing else. I get the most out of life through music and sports. If I can help some one get the most out of a few moments, whether it is pondering on God's word, or simply a drive home from work, with my music then I have achieved success.

Personal Data: I am a physical education teacher at Linden Christian School and enjoy volleyball, basketball, jogging, music and reading. Leanne Kroeker and I are going to be married July 18, 1998.

Musical Influences: David Foster, Enya, Yanni, Kansas, John Williams (of Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark fame), Vangelis (Chariots of Fire), and Bruce Hornsby.

Musical Style: Orchestra meets light jazz, easy listening

What do you listen to these days?: jazz and the latest movie soundtracks

What do you listen to on the road?: a lot of soundtracks and instrumentals

What are you reading right now?: Phillip Yancey, any of the classics such as Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky

Theological/Spiritual Influences: church and youth leaders, high school teachers at MBCI

Additional Information: I understand music similarly to sports (probably not a big surprise). You go out and play softball not because you think you are a pro-ball player but because you love the game. All people should treat music the same.
