FRESNO, CALIF.
Herb Neufeld has accepted an invitation to become a half-time member of the development staff for MB Biblical Seminary, effective May 1. He will be responsible for donor development in B.C. and Alberta. In March Fred Wiens began a half-time position, covering Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Neufeld will retire May 15 as pastor of Mountain Park MB Church in Abbotsford, B.C., having begun as founding pastor in 1991. He and his wife Adeline hope their new schedule will allow them time to pursue personal plans.
Neufeld was conference pastor for British Columbia 1988-91, senior pastor of Central Heights MB Church in Abbotsford 1986-88 and senior pastor of Willingdon MB Church in Burnaby, B.C. 1971-86. Prior to this he served churches in Raisin City, Calif. and Mission, B.C. and worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia 1956-60.
Neufeld served on the MBBS board of directors 1978-90, with the Canadian Conference of MB Churches, including two terms as moderator, and has served the B.C. provincial conference as moderator, chair of the Columbia Bible College board, and as a member of the Board of Church Extension. He is currently a member of both the Canadian and North American Conference Boards of Faith and Life.
Neufeld attended Fresno Pacific University and MBBS 1968-71, Canadian Bible College in Regina, Sask. 1960-62 and East Chilliwack (B.C.) Bible School 1957-58. The Neufelds have four grown children: Allan, Caroline, Cheryl and Geoff.
