New church holds chartering service and first baptism
PITT MEADOWS, B.C.
Pitt Meadows Discovery Church held a chartering service and its first baptism on January 25, baptizing six people. In total 17 new members joined the church on that day with seven people transferring their membership from other churches and four people giving their testimonies. Church planters Dan and Berni Warkentin started work with the new church at the end of April, 1997. On September 28, the church had its first service with 84 people attending. The church now averages over 70 people at its services.
