Ministry:

Since 1996 they have been Artist Associates with World Vision Canada and connected with Prison Fellowship since 1997. Formed in 1991, the dustkickers have shared a common vision of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through relational-based ministries. They have travelled across Canada performing and ministering at churches and youth organizations.

N.B. They will be performing opening night of NYC 99 and providing some seminars related to using musical instruments in worship settings.

Philosophy of Ministry:

One of the keys to the success of each of the dustkickers' concerts has been tying into the ministry of the supporting organization, local church or group. the dustkickers achieve this in several ways : 1.prayer with the organization both prior to and following each performance 2.development of Bible studies and accompanying material to correspond with the lyrics of several songs 3.event promotion support 4.prayer support for the weeks leading up to and following events (the dustkickers commit substantial prayer time to ministry results from their shows) - in this regard they are accountable to their mentors and pastors at their home church.

Musical Style:

Feel-good, relaxed rock with strong harmonies and a good acoustic guitar style. They are unabashedly Christian in their lyrics and approach to music-making. One lyric: AAre you clinging to the cloak of the Saviour, feel the presence of joy and the hope of rebirth@ is indicative of their third album, twentythree.
