Pastor killed

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C.

Bill Cram, associate pastor of adult ministries and pastoral care at Westwood MB Church in Prince George, B.C., was killed in an accident on Aug. 31. Cram, 62, was taking his regular morning exercise, riding his bicycle south along Highway 97 about 6:30 a.m. A car travelling north swerved across the road, striking Cram and killing him instantly.

Cram had been at the church for three years. Before that, he had been in executive leadership with the Baptist Union of Western Canada for 13 years and had previously pastored Baptist churches in B.C and Alberta. He and his wife Lois have a son, two daughters and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service was held at the Westwood Church on Sept. 5.

Westwood senior pastor Mel Fehr said, "Westwood was very fortunate to have benefitted from Bill's ministry for the past three years. He was a gifted administrator, and his relationship skills were phenomenal. We have suffered a big loss. He was dearly loved."JC
