The board of Bethany Bible Institute in Hepburn, Sask. at its meeting Sept. 19 accepted the resignation of Doug Berg, effective June 30, 1999. He will continue as faculty member and return to teaching.
Berg began in July 1995 as the eleventh president in the school's 71 year history, having served since 1978 as instructor, athletic director, academic dean and dean of faculty. As president, his goals were to work at internal quality of education, constituency relations, financial stability for the school, planning and faculty/staff development. Berg's desire is that students, faculty and staff continue to become disciples of Jesus Christ. He is excited about returning to the classroom.
