These comments from leaders show the power of the National Youth Convention to shape the lives of leaders as well as of youth. A key purpose of NYC 99 is to model various aspects of youth ministry for leaders.
One major aspect of youth ministry is to purposefully aim at different levels of interest. Some youth are seekers. Others are basic Christians. Others are committed followers of Christ that need a challenge to lead their peers. Ministries must plan to reach all these teens.
NYC 99 is designed to demonstrate how to do this. Leaders will observe and experience how we have planned this. We also have teaching workshops available. We hope they will return to their churches with the principles in mind that will help them become more purpose driven in their ministries.
