Thirty-three workers participated in orientation at Mennonite Central Committee headquarters in Akron, Pa. Nov. 3-13. Fifteen are beginning overseas assignments and 18 North American assignments. Réal Bonneville and Louise Pinard of Dunham, Que. are beginning three-year assignments in Haiti. Réal will be working at reforestation, and Louise's assignment is pending. They have served with MCC in Chad. Most recently, they worked as volunteers for Youth With a Mission in Dunham. They are members of Eglise Chrétienne de St-Laurent, in St-Laurent, Que. Darren Dyck of Saskatoon is beginning a one-year assignment as a thrift store manager in Saskatoon. He has an associate's degree in biblical studies from Briercrest Bible College, Caronport, Sask., and was last employed as a gas station attendant in Saskatoon. He is a member of Forest Grove Community Church, Saskatoon. Robert Loeppky of Calgary is beginning a two-year assignment as a computer programmer/analyst for Ten Thousand Villages in Akron, Pa. He has a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Calgary and was last employed as a receiver for a bookstore in Calgary. He is a member of Dalhousie MB Community Church, Calgary. Patricia Louie of Fort St. John, B.C. is beginning a two-year assignment in Philadelphia, Pa. as a program activities coordinator. She has a diploma in early childhood education from Columbia Bible College, Abbotsford, B.C., and was last employed as a childcare worker in Fort St. John. She is a member of Willingdon Church, Burnaby, B.C. Marion Meyer of Johannesburg, South Africa, most recently of Winnipeg, is beginning a two-year assignment as an administrative assistant in Food, Disaster and Material Resources department of MCC Canada in Winnipeg. She has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. She was last employed as a program officer in Winnipeg and is a member of The Meeting Place, Winnipeg. Susan Pharaoh of Winnipeg is beginning a two-year assignment as an administrative assistant in the MCC Manitoba office in Winnipeg. She studied at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. She attends The Meeting Place, Winnipeg, and is a member of Fort Garry MB Church, Winnipeg.

Ron Redekop transferred from young adult ministries pastor to adult ministries pastor at Central Heights MB Church in Abbotsford, B.C., effective Nov. 22. He has been at the church since July, 1992, and previosuly did two years of student internship placement at Northview Community Church in Abbotsford. He worked for a nursery and grew strawberries 1983-88. He has an A.A. from Trinity Western University, B.A. in sociology from the University of British Columbia and M.Div. from Associated Canadian Theological Schools. He and his wife Marcella have a 10-month-old daughter, Darya.
