Life is very demanding. Many times we are like a guitar which has been played so much that the strings have become stretched and the music is off-key. We have become so involved, so busy that we haven't really taken the time to "tune up". We need to find the standard key and tune in to the standard pitch. When that happens, harmony will come back to the old strings, and the music will become a pleasure to listen to once again.
Many of us have been "tuning" our instruments to others, rather than to the standard pitch. Many lives have been gradually losing their "melody", which is their purpose, because they have put away the "tuner", which is the Word of God, the Bible. They have listened to the many voices that are crying, "Tune in to us", "Try this", "Smoke this", "Loosen up", "Find freedom in this", "Do what feels good." As a result, what we were created for no longer happens; then, when the fun and games are over, reality hits, and life falls flat.
My suggestion is to go back to the standard pitch, the Word of God. When we turn back to God, God will bless us, and we will be back in tune.
