The ultimate life

Norman Fehr

One of the amazing things in the world is life. My wife and I have visited the coral reefs off the shore of Tobago, and the swarms of life seen there are breathtaking. What is all this teeming life for? Just for now? No, it cannot be.

Recently, we have heard of people living 100 years, but that is only a moment as far as time goes. Surely one is not born into life only to be snatched out of it? But it happens all around us.

There must be more to life than what we can see and experience. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life" (John 14:6). Jesus rose from the grave and proved to the whole world that life continues after death. He promised: "I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in Me, even though they die like everyone else, will live again" (John 11:25, New Living Translation). Life is not to be trifled with. It continues and reaches its ultimate level in Jesus Christ.
