James Kin-Wo Ip has been hired as part-time pastor of discipleship and evangelism at Pacific Grace MB Church, Vancouver, effective May 1. Previously, he served for one year in North Point Alliance Church in Hong Kong. He has a B.Sc. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, an M.A. from Nottingham University, England, and an M.Div. from Regent College, Vancouver. He and his wife Rebecca Lee have two children, Genevieve, 10, and Timothy, 8.

Conrad Neudorf resigned as senior pastor of Warman (Sask.) MB Church, effective May 16, after serving two-and-a-half years. He will become senior pastor of Fleetwood Community Church, Surrey, B.C., sometime this summer. Previously, he pastored two Christian and Missionary Alliance churches in Ottawa for 10 years and interned at Circle Drive Alliance Church, Saskatoon. He has a B.R.E. in theology from Canadian Bible College, Regina. He and his wife Debbie, an optician, have two children, Shawn, 19, and Tamara, 16.

Randy Klassen is changing his ministry focus at Coaldale (Alta.) MB Church. In September, he will begin to serve as part-time minister of music in the church while beginning doctoral studies at the University of Calgary. He has been associate pastor of music and worship in the church since August 1993. He has a B.R.S. from MB Bible (Concord) College, a B.A. from the University of Winnipeg, an M.A. from McMaster University and an M.Div. from MB Biblical Seminary. He and his wife Darlene have four children, Josie, 12, Jeana, 11, Adam, 4, and Mitchell, 2.

Woodrow (Sask.) Gospel Chapel held a commissioning service for Laurie Fortnum on Apr. 11. She left Apr. 30 to serve a two-week term as a nurse on a medical evangelistic team in Ukraine and Romania with Word of Life Fellowship.

Concord College student Leanne Margaret Regehr received the University of Winnipeg Silver Medal for the second highest standing in Arts (Honours program) in 1998-99. She is a member of Lendrum MB Church in Edmonton. Ruth Heather Cumberbatch received a Silver Medal for the second highest standing in Arts (4-year program) along with the Swiss Ambassador Book Prize for Distinction in German studies; Tamara Lee received a medal for achievement in music (general program). The presentations were made June 6 at the University of Winnipeg convocation.

Mennonite Health Services of Goshen, Ind. has awarded eight Elmer Ediger Memorial Scholarships for the 1999-2000 academic year. Among the recipients were two Mennonite Brethren. Anna Gossen is pursuing a master's degree in counselling, specializing in marriage, family and children, at MB Biblical Seminary, Fresno, Calif. She is a member of Northview Community Church, Abbotsford, B.C. Jean-Marc Miller is pursuing a master's degree in psychology at the University of Quebec in Montreal. He is a member of Eglise Chretienne de St-Laurent. Each recipient receives $1,100 US for studies in health care related services in the fields of mental health, counselling or developmental disabilities.

Walter Boldt has retired as the western representative for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, effective at the end of June. Previously, he was senior pastor of Circle Drive Alliance Church, Saskatoon for more than 29 years. He and his wife Doris plan to continue living in Kelowna, B.C. EFC is an association of 32 denominations and more than 100 Christian academic, evangelistic, political and social development organizations.

Bill Dyck has been appointed executive director of Camp Arnes in Manitoba, effective May 1. Previously, he was founder and executive director of Youth Ministry Builders in Winnipeg, a resource and training for youth workers, Christian education workers, children's ministry workers, parents and teens. He worked for Youth for Christ for seven years in Alberta, was on staff at Briercrest Schools in Caronport, Sask. for one year in student leadership training and has been involved in various Christian education networks. Since 1991, he has been a Christian education consultant for Standard Publishing. He has a pastoral diploma from Peace River Bible Institute, Sexsmith, Alta., a B.R.E. from Canadian Bible College, Regina, and an M.A. from Briercrest Biblical Seminary. He and his wife Pat, an R.N., have two children, Jeremy, 18, and Stephanie, 16. They are members of Braeside Evangelical Mennonite Church, Winnipeg. Camp Arnes, a non-denominational camp, was started by Mennonite Brethren in 1949. It is located an hour north of Winnipeg on Lake Winnipeg.
